We are a family-owned business based out of Seattle, Washington that strives to offer our customers Traditional, Authentic and Hand Woven Indian Sarees.
About Me:
I come from a land of colorful enchanting fabrics which reflects centuries of artistry, culture and heritage. My obsession of Indian traditional attire started at a young age helping my mother and aunt fold up this very long fabric and carefully creasing it with my fingers. How can this long piece of uncut, unstitched free flowing fabric just gracefully wrap around a woman transforming her beauty?
This is called a "Saree". Whether it is the "Kanjivaram" silk saree from Southern India or the "Banarasi" silk from Northern India, each one tells its own unique story of tradition and craftsmanship. I have over the years built my own collection of splendid traditional attires some lovingly gifted by my husband and some I bought to dress up my family which has received compliments from my friends and an affirming nod on my choice from my mother who taught me all about fabrics.
Who We Are:
Every trip to India we are mesmerized by an explosion of colors be it traditional wear or jewelry or handbags. It is such a joy just to walk the Bazaar and take in all this beautiful work in display. It filled us with a passion to create a platform to bring authentic Indian Hand Crafted Wear to the world. My son offered his help in setting up the business by trading some of his cartoon time to sort out the camera pictures and working out the Logo Design. You know that is a win win situation for us all (wink!) My husband helps out with logistics and planning and here we are launching our very first Family Owned Business!
What We Believe:
We are on a journey to share the craftmanship of generations of artisans and weavers and our love of Indian traditional attire with the world. We hope you fall in love with these pieces that we are about to share and eagerly await to hear about your experiences and see you dress up!
We would love to see you again!
